No sense of historical change[edit]

This article presents the Ottoman state organization as almost totally static, without mention of the many developments and transformations it experienced over the centuries. It hardly distinguishes between how the Ottoman Empire was organized in 1450, 1600, 1700, 1800, and so on, mixing eras together at will. It provides an unrealistic and ahistorical depiction of the Ottoman Empire as a static state which did not change over time. There was no single "State Organization of the Ottoman Empire" just as there was no single "State Organization of France" that one can speak of spanning multiple centuries. This article is thus extremely problematic. It needs to be updated to reflect the changes the empire experienced over the centuries, with these changes placed into their proper historical context.
