Gannicus is not mentoined by Appian an Florus! Where hahahaa

??? This Article based on this accounts. (Orosius, Histories 5.24.1-2. Appian, Civil Wars 1.116. Florus, Epitome 2.8.20.) Where is Gannicus in this accounts? On books.google the secondary literature from Strauss and Bury i can not read, but in Winkler (Spartacus: Film and History, 2008, p. 222) Gannicus is absend too. This Article is stupid, a SPARTACUS TV-Series thing! Based on false accounts with different conclusions (from Spartacus, Crixus and Oenomaus, but not from Gannicus)! In my accounts (Plutarch, Livy, Frontin) Gannicus is not discribed as a Gladiator-Veteran from the Ludus of Batiatus or as a Gaul. He was (with Castus) leader of a band of slaves from Gaul and Germania nationality, separeted from the Spartacus-host and defated by the Romans at Mons Camalatrum shortly befor Spartacus was killed at Mons Silarus in 71 B.C. Are all these links really necessary? I struggle to imagine how Gannicus could be related to Boudica, Brennus, Odoacer and Alaric beyond them all being enemies of Rome. Most of their actions took place centuries apart.--82.14.9.18 (talk) 17:09, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article unforunately underwelming[edit]

Seems to be a lack of information on this warrior turned general. He seemed like such a notable and interesting man.
