A note[edit]

Instead of the page name as Elephant (Hindu mythology), I have named the page Gaja, the most commonly used Sanskrit word for elephant. Gaja is used in most of the Hindu scriptures, as also in Buddhist and Jaina texts. I have made a re-direction link from Elephant (Hindu mythology). If required, similar re-direction links may be created from Elephant (Buddhist mythology) and Elephant (Jaina mythology). In case, some editors are able to create separate stubs for Elephant (Buddhist mythology) and Elephant (Jaina mythology), which shall be a welcome step. All the best! The page has been named gaja to impart the page the touch of reality. --Bhadani 17:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, this is just a small part of the complete article which I propose to write. I would request other editors to contribute for building a good page. --Bhadani 17:48, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
