Article title[edit]

Yet ANOTHER GWR engine class with it's name DELETED from the articles title. Total MADNESS. This is now an issue for most GWR types. Whoever is responsible for this needs to be banished to the dark recesses of Anorak-Land...!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.232.58 (talk) 10:27, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was never deleted. It was never there.
Presumably this was done from some sort of "consistency" argument. Castles and Halls aren't named either. So I'm not going to rename one article out of the whole list. Go to the UK Trains project to argue renaming the lot, if you wish. Andy Dingley (talk) 10:53, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lot and serial numbers out of sequence[edit]

Lot 123 is annotated "Lot and serial numbers out of sequence". I think that this is because nos. 2611-20 were ordered as a second batch of "Krugers" that was postponed, and when the "Aberdares" proved successful this Lot was reinstated for an equivalent number of "Aberdares". I don't have a source. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 09:46, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
