Started article[edit]

I have roughly translated the article from frWP. I'm sure this pianist is notable enough for enWP, but someone with a less-rusty knowledge of French might like to continue. See here, which has a couple of refs. There will doubtless be sources in English out there. Tony Holkham (Talk) 22:35, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trying to improve it[edit]

With best intentions, I tried to help this article looking for more and better sources. I heard Sombart perform recently in London and was pleasantly surprised to find her on Wiki. I then uploaded a photo of her. I have found some new sources, but refs about her in English take some digging since classical music literature is more esoteric. The French Wiki has more, with sections of her discography and filmography. Eagledj (talk) 23:22, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see there have been some good improvements. I did not do a great deal except translate the French article. There is no problem having some references in French as translation is usually straightforward these days. I will look over the article in a day or so and see if I can help improve it, though a quick glance shows you and others have done well so far. Tony Holkham (Talk) 16:03, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Since 2015 there have been improvements to the French article, and there is no reason why they shouldn't be translated and added to this one, provided the edit summary(ies) reflects that, as required on WP. A quick search has not thrown up any new references, but more may turn up. I can't see room for expansion without more good references; in fact, the lead might be a little too heavy, as it is basically the same as the body, but that's just my view. Best wishes, T. I have shortened the lead, and added the French discography with additions of my own. Found some new refs including a video interview, which was helpful. I cannot document the film credits mentioned in the French article. Please take a final look. Eagledj (talk) 13:52, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
