Unreferenced Tag[edit]

The descriptions in this article are consistent with everything I’ve learn about residential and landscaping dry wells. I’ve tried to add some references. Admittedly, I’m not taking the time to inline them

Disambiguation[edit]

There should be additional disambiguation somewhere: e.g.,

Dry well a form of sporadic water disposal, recharge, infiltration, or injection well, especially for collected storm water, but also found at water hydrants, outdoor wash basins or other sources of spills, leaks, or disposal where a sewer is impractical.

Dry Well (alt. Dry Hole) A newly dug, drilled , or driven well found to be incapable of producing in sufficient quantities to justify completion as a production well. (“It was a dry well”) Also, a production well that ceases sufficient production, that is, “It ran/went dry.” Applies to water, oil, and gas production.

Dry Well A structure meant to capture spilled or leaked fluids for direction to and collection in a containment “wet well”; for example, a nuclear containment structure.
