I question the need for an article on a songwriter with one song that's known to his credit. It sounds simply as a way to get a link for him. This is of no merit and reads like an ad 99.53.171.95 (talk) 21:14, 11 March 2009 (UTC)eric[reply]

I think he's notable, but the article could use some help. I did a little clean-up. He has had quite a few songs covered by other artists who have had more success than he with his own material.Airproofing (talk) 19:09, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How does it affect you? Why do you care? 174.100.210.197 (talk) 00:52, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply][reply]

"The" Calliope[edit]

Most sources found on the internet show the band name as "Calliope". The band is named on the record cover front and back simply as "Calliope". There is no THE in the name except on the LP label. Look at the record for yourself here:https://www.discogs.com/master/474874-Calliope-Steamed - There is also a single on Buddah with the name printed on the label as simply "Calliope". The bio on Danny's own website also appears to have copied info directly from the Wikikpedia article without adding THE to the name. So it appears that Danny himself endorses this version.

I will follow[edit]

As I age, but only a few years behind you, I realize what an accomplished artist you have been since I was captured by your magical talents for over 50 years. Over these years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you multiple times in different places around the country. When having the pleasure of speaking to you I reflect upon your accomplishments, while your humility is on display with your true talent as a human being, the pure reality of your artistry, and as the voice for the protection of the song birds that are declining in our rainforests.

Tonight as I listen to one of my favorite tunes, “you look just like a girl again“, I realized we share the same birthday. I’m a few days early, but I wanted to wish you a healthy and happy birthday. I hope to greet you again perhaps in point Townsend, or Santa Barbara, God willing.
Happy birthday to you, and may you have many more.
