Execution[edit]

According to the US Author Jim Davis Cyrill Demian was executed. Are there other proofen sources? May also some background... 88.133.177.202 (talk) 14:26, 24 November 2014 (UTC

I don't think so- every single link (first few pages of google anyway) I checked notes him for the accordion and nothing else, and no mention of execution. Who is the Jim Davis character anyway? Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 14:34, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On edit, is he the bloke who wrote the Garfield books. Really???? lol Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 14:37, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Original German document[edit]

Can we get the original German document? I would like to know if the instrument was spelled "Accordion" or "Akkordion" in the German language in 1829. 173.89.236.187 (talk) 00:02, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The original spelling was "Accordion". See the announcement of the patent in the Wiener Zeitung of 10 July 1829.--Suessmayr (talk) 08:10, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong address[edit]

The address "Mariahilfer Straße No. 43" is wrong, because in 1829 this was not a modern house number. It was the penultimate conscription number of the house in the Mariahilf district.--Suessmayr (talk) 08:02, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong caption of the photograph[edit]

The photograph, of course, doesn't show Cyrill Demian, but one of his two sons, Carl or Guido.--Suessmayr (talk) 08:07, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
