Probably the same event as Battle of Wadkaltabu, but one more source needs to be verified to be sure.[edit]

If it is the same as Wadkaltabu, the details on page 452 [[1]] may er/trick you to believe it is a separate event. Abir mordechai probably has made an error in his article with the date May 1837 which isn't support by source 37, at least i and Pikavoom (a blocked user who filed this article for deletion nomation) couldn't find it in the French source. But the additional details in the article could be used to merge with Battle of Wadkaltabu.

To be completely sure whether it's a separate event or same event as Battle of Wadkaltabu, i need to verify one source (Ta'rikh Muluk source 38 & 39) but i have no luck finding it as of yet. The other sources provided additional details about same/separate event (such as dialogue), and didn't support others (date May 1837). It's likely the same event,or related to it, but i can't say i'm 100% certain it is without verifying that last source. Dawit S Gondaria (talk) 10:45, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No linked references except for two... lol[edit]

If this turns out to be fake, truly a huge WP:MADEUP moment. Calling all historians! Come and testify. WannurSyafiqah74 (talk) 09:36, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hoax[edit]

This article must be a hoax. The Google search returns only one result, and that is of the article itself. There is not a shred of evidence this battle ever happened. Even if this is not a hoax (which I highly, highly doubt) there is no chance that this "battle" meets any notability criteria. This article must be deleted before it damages Wikipedia's reputation even further. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 19:26, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't a hoax, but a doublet of Battle of Wadkaltabu that nobody has bothered to fix yet. Srnec (talk) 00:25, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, but even so. Should either be deleted or merged. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 15:31, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Attention needed[edit]

This article appears to be either a hoax or a double. It was discussed in 2022, but nothing has been done. I'm not sure what must be done, so I'm calling for an admin to attend to this. Festucalextalk 18:31, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This and Battle of Wadkaltabu both seem to be hoaxes created by socks. SWinxy (talk) 21:39, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
False. They are not hoaxes. But they are a doublet. There was only one battle. Everybody wants the easty way out (deletion). If the now banned nominator at the AFD had put the effort into source and merging that was put into that discussion, we would have been out of this mess long ago. @SWinxy: Did you read the AFD? Srnec (talk) 00:39, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did not see there was an AfD, thanks for pointing it out to me. I does seem like it is the result of a translation error, and the sockpuppeter (I can only assume) must've believed it to be distinct events. A couple sources discussed it not in great detail, but I'm not inclined to put in the effort to propose another deletion on the grounds of SIGCOV. What should the article be titled? I don't think "Battle of Wadkaltabu" or "Battle of Kalnabu" are sufficient, as both make it out to be a properly-named battle. SWinxy (talk) 03:01, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SWinxy @Srnec This battle is not a hoax, it did happen, however it has undoubtedly been duplicated. The two articles should be merged as soon as possible. محرر البوق (talk) 23:55, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Festucalex not an administrator but if you think the article is a hoax you should nominate it for deletion. Subsequently, convince other editors that it is a hoax and it should be deleted. Lightoil (talk) 22:51, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
