Untitled[edit]

Please note that this article could just as easily been called Crusader Campaign of 1182 or something similar. Historians disagree on whether there was a battle at all. I just needed some name to pin this on. The running battle (skirmish) was fought near Belvoir Castle (Kaukab al-Hawa) in the summer of 1182, hence the title. Christian Commanders[edit]

William of Tyre (XXII.16) makes it clear that the commanders at the battle were Baldwin of Ramlah, Balian of Ibelin, and Hugh of Saint Omer. I'm therefore adding their names to the lists of commanders. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drivingrevilo (talkcontribs) 16:50, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
