This article seems too much like a fork of the Armenian Diaspora article. The Armenian Diaspora is spread across the globe, true, but do we really need to flood Wikipedia by inundating it with such needless articles like this one? And where do we stop? We can create Smallest Armenian diaspora communities, Armenian Diaspora communities with densest concentration and a list of other useless fork-like articles. I suggest this be merged with the Armenian Diaspora article, where population figures are also found and are simply repeated without any substantive content here.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 03:05, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Armenian diaspora is already long enough. If you consider this a "needless article", then nominate it for deletion. There's also Jewish population by urban areas. Don't hesitate, go ahead with AfD. --Երևանցի talk 18:58, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need to go through the motions of deletion. That option remains, but it would be far less difficult to simply merge this article with the Armenian Diaspora page. Surely that page is not so long that we can't include population numbers there.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 01:58, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You know it better than me that it's not how Wikipedia works. If you want to merge this article into Armenian diaspora than you'll need to gain consensus, hence AfD. This article has 130 references and the diaspora article already has 193 (and it's not even close to being a decent article). Together, they will amount to 323 if merged. The Nagorno-Karabakh War article, which you so worried about getting too long, has only 189 references. --Երևանցի talk 03:53, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm giving you the opportunity to initiate the change as you are this article's creator. Population data are already provided on the Armenian Diaspora page and the criticism I apply here goes the same for there there. This is simply a mirror page of the other. This article and that page meet the definition of overkill. There really is no need to provide 7 footnotes for an estimation of Krasnodar's population. In reality, all that might be necessary is one citation for the official figure and one made by, for example, the community. Discrepancies are natural in the absence of hard figures but in this case the difference between 45,000 and 50,000 is little next to unnoticeable. A plethora of citations is hardly impressive. Instead of providing the reader interesting cultural and social characteristic traits about these communities and what makes them so unique he is inundated with dozens of citations that he really could not care less about, much less click on those links for further information. I know judging by the article history that you are the one who has added these dozens of citations, which really are unnecessary, but please try to focus on the more important aspects of these communities instead of needlessly getting bogged down by numbers. That too is an important pillar of Wikipedia.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 06:10, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Don't say it like you're doing me a favor. I've already stated my opinion. And please keep your unnecessary criticism to yourself. Instead of going after pages I edit you can actually go make useful edits. Your hypocrisy is quite blatant here. Nobody is stopping you from improving the diaspora or any other article you have interest in. If you haven't noticed yet, there are hundreds of Armenia-related articles on Wikipedia with the overwhelming majority being outdated and low quality. It is astonishing how you end up criticizing my work. But regardless, keep the good work going, it significantly improves Wikipedia. --Երևանցի talk 20:40, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If I go ahead with those edits, you might take umbrage and we both might get embroiled in an ugly and unnecessary edit war. And also please mind WP:AGF. Just because I am criticizing the content doesn't mean you have to address me as a hypocrite and start name-calling. I unfortunately do not have as much time to spare as I used to and so copy edit and make commentaries nowadays and largely abstain from adding massive amounts of detail. I'm speaking from both the perspective of an editor and your average reader and in the grand scheme of things minute details on population figures rank low on why they are visiting these pages. With that said, if you still have objections, I will duly nominate this for article for deletion/merging; if not I will take the initiative and merge it myself and give a glance over the Diaspora page to see how we can keep it concise and to the point.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 21:32, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If I go ahead with those edits, you might take umbrage and we both might get embroiled in an ugly and unnecessary edit war What "those edits" are you referring to? Am I stopping you from improving the diaspora article? If you don't have "much time to spare", then do not edit Wikipedia. Sorry, but how am I suppose to help you with this? A user who indirectly accuses me in "flood[ing] Wikipedia ... with such needless articles" talks about assuming good faith? You particularly and repeatedly criticize the content of articles that I edit or have created, while doing nothing about tens and hundreds other really needless article, which I'm sure you're aware of. This is hypocrisy on your part. I've witnessed similar behavior by you in different articles as well, which I'm tending to think is WP:HOUND. You don't have the time to make useful edits, but you do when it comes to "checking" my edits? You're more experienced than me, but you still make personal comments and then suddenly remember about AGF. --Երևանցի talk 22:44, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take the above as a form of objection, and will nominate this page shortly for merging/deletion. --Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 22:47, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
