Bracket[edit]

The "bracket" for this was highly confusing for me. The event was actually an ordinary double-elimination tournament. This somehow shows the United States never losing a game but somehow playing in the loser's bracket anyway. MrArticleOne (talk) 03:37, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's more complicated than that. Its actually a two division bracket, with the lower champion and upper 4th place switching spots for the placement brackets(as noted with France, USA, and Australia playing four games, and the others getting one bye, along with the 1v4/2v(3) and 5v8/6v7 nature of the first round) with any Canada games changed into byes

It takes a lot of space, but it shows that losing in Championship R1 puts you into the Semis with an extra game of rest, and how South Korea lost to guarantee sixth, instead of playing for seventh vs Australia 2604:2D80:800A:8168:98EA:7C57:351:45C0 (talk) 06:51, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
