Writing lines like "the elections were won by the dominant LDP" is not helpful for the readers, nevertheless, we have to tell that how LDP become dominant in politics of Japan. So we can write that LDP has started nice performance after its formation in 1955. Then only it dominated the Japanese politics. We can mention "the elections were won by the dominant LDP" after first election either upper or lower house since its formation as '1955 System'.
