I assume the United List was a joint list of both parties run in four of the six departments. How can we best represent this, as it looks a bit odd at the moment...

Also, how did the National Party candidate win in Rio Negro when the Colorado candidate received the most votes? The note mentions the elections were not held in sections 7 and 8 of the department due to inclement weather. Was voting simply delayed and the results there tipped the results in favour of the PN candidate? Number 57 22:02, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add a note in the seats cell showing how many senators for each party?
Before 1934 Senate elections used an electoral college, maybe the electors voted for the National candidate? Yilku1 (talk) 00:08, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like an error. The elected Senator from Rio Negro was from the Colorado party. Yilku1 (talk) 17:17, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder whether it might be preferable to remove the seat figures from the results table, as it looks a bit odd. Then add some text to the results section saying something like "The Colorado Party and National Party were the only parties to contest the elections. However, they ran against each other in just one of the six departments. In two departments they ran together on a joint list with a pre-agreed candidate, while in the other three, only one candidate was nominated. Across the six departments, the Colorados won five seats and the National Party one."
Or alternatively, have a completely different table, perhaps in the same format as in the source, where the departments are listed individually with the votes for each party and the joint lists, with a note on each row as to which party's candidate was elected?
