Vilhelm Hedberg is a Norwegian entrepreneur who is the founder of the app-based mobility company, ekar.[1][2][3]
Life and career[edit]
Hedberg was born in Caracas, Venezuela, to Norwegian parents. He spent his childhood in England before relocating to Florida, USA, in 1993.[4]
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Florida in 2004 and later pursued a Masters degree in International Business from EAE Barcelona. Additionally, he has undertaken further education in Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures at Harvard University and Leadership at Stanford University and INSEAD.[5]
Hedberg spent the early part of his career working in Logistics and Consulting.[6][7] In 2009, Hedberg relocated to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he co-founded and subsequently exited QMS Global FZ LLC. In 2016, he founded ekar, a pay-as-you-go car rental service.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][excessive citations]
Hedberg serves on the Board of Directors at Nook Coworking in Dubai. He is also a board advisor to the Norwegian Business Council in Dubai.[citation needed]
