TINAMARIA MARONGIU Nata a Cagliari il 21 Ottobre del 1961, Tinamaria Marongiu, nome di battesimo Maria Cristina, entra a far parte del mondo dell’arte in giovanissima età come interprete di musica leggera. 

Nel 1977 si trasferisce a Roma, dove, per alcuni anni, frequenta l’unica fucina per artisti emergenti, “il Cenacolo”, creato dalla “RCA Italiana” per volere del presidente “Ennio Melis”. Luogo di sperimentazione e d’incontro tra giovani promesse ed artisti affermati, in cui la ricerca, lo scambio culturale ed umano è stato di importanza fondamentale per la sua crescita artistica. Nel 1979, con lo pseudonimo “Babi”, prodotta da Paolo Dossena, con distribuzione Polygram, esce il suo primo 45 giri : “Maschere” composto da Maurizio Monti e Aldo Tamborrelli. Nei primi anni ’80, e’ interprete, con il suo nome di battesimo “Cristina”, del brano “La Lettera”: sigla di apertura di una tra le prime e più famose telenovelas trasmesse in Italia “Gli Emigranti”.

Lo stesso brano verra’ inserito, successivamente, nell’ “Lp” “Contremano”.

Presentato al Midem della musica di Cannes, e recensito sul giornale più importante al mondo di musica di quegli anni, il “Billboard”, il “33 giri” “Contremano” esce in tutta Europa.

In Germania, con distribuzione Virgin, riscontra un ottimo successo. L’estratto “Soli” scritto da Riccardo Cocciante e interpretato da “Cristina”, si colloca ai primi posti delle hitparade radiofoniche tedesche per oltre otto mesi.

Tinamaria partecipa, come rappresentante italiana, ad una delle edizioni del "Festival Internazionale di Malta".

Sempre nei primi anni ’80, recita e canta in una commedia dell’ETI (Ente Teatrale Italiano) con ruolo da protagonista, insieme agli attori “Emi Eco” e “valerio Isidori”.

Alla fine degli anni ’80 si trasferisce per un breve periodo negli U.S.A., California, dove frequenta un corso di canto. Diplomata in qualita’ di “Interprete di Musica Leggera” al “CET” (università della musica fondata e diretta da Giulio Rapetti in arte "Mogol").

Nei primi anni ’80 Tinamaria incomincia a cimentarsi come autrice e si iscrive alla SIAE (Societa’ Italiana Autori e Editori), ma la sua vena artistica cantautorale emerge in maniera insistente nei primissimi anni ’90.

Nel 2004 Tinamaria partecipa con due sue composizioni al concorso "L’ALTRA MUSICA", organizzato da "IMAIE", risultando tra i vincitori. Nel 2005, in occasione del concorso "Gli Italiani nel Mondo", svoltosi tra Parigi e Sanremo, in concomitanza del festival, vince il premio della critica con una sua canzone: "Madreterra". Nel 2007, Tinamaria parte per l'Habana – Cuba, dove, con l’ausilio dello straordinario flautista Cubano Jose’ Luis Cortes, realizza il suo primo cd cantautorale " Dal Poetto al Malecòn ", messo in commercio con etichetta Interbeat e distribuito da CNI (Compagnia Nuove Indie).

Nel luglio 2008 è ospite al “Premio Lunezia”. Con alcuni brani del suo ultimo progetto musicale “Passepartout”, Tinamaria è semifinalista al “Premio Musicultura” 2010.

Nel 2023, all’interno di un cd dal titolo “Sanremo Famosi” di artisti vari, edito da Dino Vitola, viene inserito anche il suo brano “ATTIMI”.

La sua grande curiosità e necessità di nuove modalità espressive saranno la spinta per un incessante lavoro di ricerca e sperimentazione. Autrice delle sue canzoni, poesie, fotografie, fino ad arrivare alle Arti Visive. Un Master in Art-Counseling, attraverso il quale esperisce varie tecniche artistiche, a Tinamaria si aprono nuove frontiere che la portano oggi a posizionarsi come Artista Multimedie. Un Master triennale in Art Counseling conseguito a Roma nel 2009 sarà la spinta che la proietterà nel mondo dell’Arte Visiva.

Nel 2010 realizza le sue prime opere materiche tridimensionali "Box-Es" e nel 2013 è precursore dell’“ARTE COMPATTA”, un termine con cui coniuga la specificità della sua modalità creativa unendola ad un messaggio Sociale, espresso attraverso cinque parole che incominciano con la “U”: UNICITÀ - UNIVERSALITÀ – UNIONE - UMANITÀ - UGUAGLIANZA Box-Es installazioni di ARTE COMPATTA: Realizzazioni materiche tridimensionali, chiuse in teche di plexiglass.

Opere prive di progettualità, con la volontà di esprimersi liberamente svincolandosi totalmente da una Società omologata e conformista. Nel 2011 partecipa alla Biennale di Chianciano e vince il 3° “Premio Leonardo” nella sezione “Arti Applicate”.

Sempre nello stesso anno è presente con alcune delle sue Box-Es in uno degli eventi collaterali della Biennale di Venezia ed inoltre è presente con una sua Mostra Personale per la prima volta a Miami, Florida USA. Nell’Ottobre del 2020 al 43mo Premio Internazionale Medusa Aurea “AIAM” è 1ma classificata, medaglia oro, per la scultura. Nel Giugno 2021 partecipa alla “London Art Biennale”. Vincitrice del “Gagliardi Gallery Award” è tra i 25 artisti selezionati per una esposizione dal 3 al 12 Novembre 2022 a Londra.

Nel Luglio 2022 partecipa alla Biennale di Chianciano e vince il 1° premio per le “Arti Applicate”.

Presente dal 2018 nel CAM Catalogo di Arte Moderna edito da Giorgio Mondadori (ex Bolaffi) e con svariate pubblicazioni sulla rivista “Arte” Mondadori ed altre. Espone in Italia e dal 2011 negli Stati Uniti e nel Mondo.

Born in Cagliari on 21 October 1961, Tinamaria Marongiu, given name Maria Cristina, entered the world of art at a very young age as a performer of pop music. In 1977 she moved to Rome, where, for a few years, she frequented the only hotbed for emerging artists, "il Cenacolo", created by the "RCA Italiana" at the behest of the president "Ennio Melis". Also in the early 80s, she acted and sang in a comedy of the ETI (Italian Theater Authority) with a leading role, together with the actors "Emi Eco" and "valerio Isidori". At the end of the 80s she moved to the USA for a short period. She, California, where she attends a singing course. She graduated as a "Performer of Light Music" at the "CET" (university of music founded and directed by Giulio Rapetti aka "Mogol"). In the early '80s Tinamaria began to try her hand as an author and signed up to the SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers), but her artistic songwriting streak emerged insistently in the early '90s. In 2004 Tinamaria participated with her in two of her compositions in the "L' ALTRA MUSICA" competition, organized by "IMAIE", being among the winners. In 2005, on the occasion of the "Gli Italiani nel Mondo" competition, which took place between Paris and Sanremo, in conjunction with the festival, she won the critics' prize with one of her songs: "Madreterra". In 2007, Tinamaria left for Havana – Cuba, where, with the help of the extraordinary Cuban flautist Jose' Luis Cortes, she created her first singer-songwriter CD "Dal Poetto al Malecòn", marketed with the Interbeat label and distributed by CNI (New Indies Company). In July 2008 she was a guest at the “Premio Lunezia”. With some songs from her latest musical project "Passepartout", Tinamaria is a semi-finalist at the 2010 "Premio Musicultura". In 2023, the his song “ATTIMI”. Her great curiosity and need for new expressive methods will be the push for an incessant work of research and experimentation. She is the author of her songs, poems, photographs, up to and including the Visual Arts. A Master in Art-Counseling, through which she experiments with various artistic techniques, opens up new frontiers for Tinamaria which today lead her to position herself as a Multimedia Artist. A three-year Master's degree in Art Counseling achieved in Rome in 2009 will be the push that will project her into the world of Visual Art. In 2010 he created his first three-dimensional material works "Box-Es" and in 2013 he was a precursor of "COMPACT ART", a term with which he combines the specificity of his creative method by combining it with a social message, expressed through five words that begin with the “U”: UNIQUENESS - UNIVERSALITY - UNION - HUMANITY - EQUALITY Box-Es COMPACT ART installations: Three-dimensional material creations, closed in plexiglass cases. Works without planning, with the desire to express themselves freely, totally freeing themselves from an approved and conformist society. In 2011 she participates in the Chianciano Biennale and wins the 3rd “Leonardo Prize” in the “Applied Arts” section. Also in the same year she is present with some of her Box-Es in one of the collateral events of the Venice Biennale and is also present with her in a Personal Exhibition of her for the first time in Miami, Florida USA. In October 2020 at the 43rd International Medusa Aurea “AIAM” Award she was 1st place, gold medal, for sculpture. In June 2021 you participate in the "London Art Biennale". She is the winner of the "Gagliardi Gallery Award" and is among the 25 artists selected for an exhibition from 3 to 12 November 2022 in London. In July 2022 he participated in the Chianciano Biennale and won the 1st prize for "Applied Arts". Present since 2018 in the CAM Catalog of Modern Art published by Giorgio Mondadori (formerly Bolaffi) and with various publications in the Mondadori magazine “Arte” and others. She exhibits in Italy and since 2011 in the United States and all around the world.
