Kaduna Textile was established in 1957.^[1] By 1970, half of the textiles in West Africa were produced in Nigeria. The country also exported textiles to the United Kingdom.^[2] A study recommends that reward and training of production staff is needed in Nigerian textile firms to boost production.^[3] Kaduna became the textile capital of Nigeria just after independence.
