Shri Dharm Paul ji (Hindi: श्री धर्मपाल जी Punjabi: ਸ੍ਰੀ ਧਰਮਪਾਲ ਜੀ, ISO 15919: śrī dharmapāla jī) (25 January 1920 - 25 January 1990)[1] better known as "Pujya Papa Ji Maharaj",[2][3] was an Indian spiritual leader/Guru and was the 2nd Spiritual head at Sunshine Charity Trust[4][5]. The Trust, headquartered in Tagore Garden New Delhi, India, has centres around the North India. He was Journalist, Editor & author by Profession.[6][7]

Early Life[edit]

Shri Dharm Paul Ji born in very small town named Ramdass near Amritsar Punjab. He was one of in his 5 siblings. His Father Bishan Dass Arya was Doctor (Vaid) at his village and President of His Local Arya Samaj Mandir. He was pure Worshiper of Vedic Arya Religion. Shri Dharm Paul's Mother name was Ram Rakhi she was House Wife. Shri Dharm Paul was very fascinated from childhood in Journalism. Respected Papa ji's childhood was full of struggle. He was often engrossed in reading religious books. For this he had to bear his father's anger. He received his schooling from Ramdas Khalsa School till class 10th. Along with studies, he also learned the instrument (harmonium).Therefore, through continuous practice, he became proficient in it. Achieved success in competitions organized in the school from time to time. Took admission in college in Rawalpindi for higher education[8]. Whatever pieces of food were given to him, he would feed them to others and in this he used to experience happiness, satisfaction and joy. Many times you were found in the forest in a trance and with ashes in your hair, and when your sister did not do so, when she refused, you silenced her by saying, fill my alms bowl which is empty, I am a beggar.
