Rati Bregadze (Georgian: რატი ბრეგაძე; born 12 December 1982), is a Georgian politician and official who has served as the Minister of Justice of Georgia since 1 April 2021.^[1]

Biography[edit]

Bregadze was born on 12 December 1982.

From 2000 to 2005, he studied at the Faculty of Law of Tbilisi State University. In then he studied at various universities in Germany.

From 2011 to 2012, he was a lawyer of the legal company "Mgaloblishvili, Kifiani, Dzidziguri", head of the German department.

From 2012 to 2013, he was the head of the National Center for Children and Youth. From 2012 to 2015 he was the Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs.

In 2015, he was an invited lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Georgia.

From 2015 to 2016, he was the Deputy Executive Director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education. In the same years, he was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.

In 2016, he was the Deputy State Minister for Diaspora Affairs.

From 2017 to 2019 Bregadze was the Director of the Department of Diaspora Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

He was a full professor of the Caucasus University in 2019.

Bregadze was appointed Minister of Justice on 1 April 2021. Before being appointed as the Minister of Justice, he was the Deputy Minister of Defense.^[1]
