Biography[edit]
Nala Amirah (born August 30, 2004) is an Indonesian environmentalist and social entrepreneur.[1] She is the founder of Green Welfare Indonesia,[2] a youth-led organisation that advocates against unethical livestock farming and unsustainable agriculture. Her organization focuses on plant-based diet solutions and contains aspects of climate education workshops and food distribution. [3]

Amirah's organization, Green Welfare Indonesia, was established as Indonesia's first youth-led NGO promoting social sustainability through climate education.[4] The organization's scope of work includes Agricultural transition to sustainable production, Food Security, and Climate Education across Indonesia. Green Welfare engages in food pack distribution, builds hydroponic farms for communities, and hosts in-person and online workshops. [5]
Amirah is a member of the UN Women program, 30 for 2030,[6] a network designed to advise UN Women on their campaigns surrounding gender equality and climate. She was a delegate to COP28 in Dubai[7] where she participated on the UN Women Delegation and participated as a speaker for the Pakistan Pavilion on Gender Responsive and Inclusive Climate Action organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination of Government of Pakistan.
