In 2022, the debut single "Shabooya" had the world knowing her as "Big Carbon, Don't Call Me Kim H*e!" K Carbon was known in her city as "Kim" from owning her hair business Kim's Doll House Collection[7] that was very popular in Memphis. Early Life and Education[edit]
K Carbon was born and raised Memphis, TN where she lived her whole life. She grew up with a musical background. In elementary, she played the piano and flute. In middle school, she played the cello. She graduated from Central High School [8] in 2019. She was a scholar in school and even continued her education to college, however, her hair hustle led her to dropping out. She started to pursue hair and music full time.
Career[edit]
In 2018, K Carbon started off her career with her debut single, "Weak Azz Bitch(remix)" [9] ft Pooh Shiesty[10], which was released September 8, 2018. Carbon was still in high school when the single released and continued to focus on her studies.
After graduating, she dropped another single "No Subs"[11] on June 6, 2020 which sparked her consistency as an artist. Couple of months later, she dropped "Clout"[12] on December 23, 2020.
She began her 2021 with single, "Return" [13] on February 5, 2021. A couple of days later she dropped "Big Mad" [14] February 19, 2021. Weeks later, her single "Hypothetically" dropped February 27, 2021. She continued her drops with single "Cry" [15] on April 3, 2021. On April 20, 2021 she dropped "Big Carbon" [16] Her consistency led her to link with producer Hitkidd and fellow female rappers Glorilla[17], Gloss Up, Slimeroni, and Aleza. They dropped their first debut single together "Set The Tone"[18] June 2, 2021. It didn't take long before they started to make billboard charts with hit single "Shabooyah" a year later. Carbon continued to drop solo singles her single "Pop Shit"[19] dropped 2 days later on June 4, 2021. She collaborated again with fellow artist Glorilla and Gloss Up dropping "Henny Victim"[20] June 19, 2021. Her First debut project "Payback"[21] dropped after her birthday August 8th, 2021. She finished the year strong dropping "Vibe Different" [22] November 21, 2021.
In 2022, Carbon began releasing music with single "2AM"[23] ft Mille Manny. However, Carbon really set the tone for herself with her single "Carbon Freestyle"[24] released April 28, 2022. Months later she dropped "Gangsta Bitch" [25] featuring Action Pack[26]. September 11, 2022 she dropped "First Day In LA". Her hit single "Shabooyah"[27] featuring Hitkidd, Gloss Up, Slimeroni, and Aleza dropped a couple days later on September 29, 2022. It charted Number 21 on R&B/ Hip-Hop Airplay[28] and Number 31 on Rhythmic Billboard[29]. Followed by her single "Switch" on November 22, 2022.
She began her 2023 dropping single "Where's Waldo?" on March 28, 2023. Followed by "High Speed" released on April 23, 2023 featuring fellow rapper Aleza. Days later, she was featured on Big Homie G[30] single "Drugs Talking" released April 28, 2023. She dropped "Chain Talk[31]" on June 27, 2023. Followed by "Big Flex[32]" on July 22, 2023. She then dropped a squeal on her Carbon Freestyle with "Carbon Freestyle 2" on September 20, 2023. She dropped "Choptober"[33] October 25, 2023. She wrapped 2023 up with single "Jealous Ass Bitch"[34] featuring Gloss Up, Slimeroni, Aleza, and Glorilla.
She began her 2024 with single "Un Huh"[35] featuring Mello Bucks and Big30.
Philanthropy[edit]
K Carbon hosted 2 giveaways in 2023. In August, a back to school giveaway with Pooh Shiesty. In December, a Christmas Drive giveaway with her business partner Baha at Beauty & Company Beauty Supply in Memphis, TN.
