The 2024 Ballon d'Or will be the 68th annual ceremony of the Ballon d'Or, presented by France Football magazine, recognising the best footballers in the world in the 2023–24 season. For the third time in the history of the award, it will be given based on the results of the season instead of the calendar year, with the season starting on 1 August 2023 and ending 31 July 2024. The nominees have not announced, and the ceremony will take place in France at an unknown date. Alongside the men's award, the Ballon d'Or Féminin, the Kopa Trophy, the Yashin Trophy, the Sócrates Award, the Gerd Müller Trophy and a Club of the Year award will also be presented.
Ballon d'Or[edit]
The Ballon d'Or is the award given to the decided best player of the year. This edition will show the 2023-24 season's best players. It was last won a record-extending eight times by Argentinian Lionel Messi who currently plays at Inter Miami in the MLS (Major League Soccer) in the United States.
