Draft:2023 Attack on El Gadaref
Submission declined on 13 December 2023 by AngusWOOF (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. The proposed article does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own, but it could be merged into the existing article at War in Sudan (2023). Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, you are welcome to add that information yourself. Thank you.

On the first day of the conflict, the RSF launched major attacks on the Sudanese Army bases across the country. Fighting broke out in El-Gadaref on the first day of the conflict as well.[1] The army quickly captured the RSF headquarters in El-Gadaref.[2] The army later took control of the town and the state itself.[3]
