Notes[edit]

This category is quite similar to Category:Forbes World's Richest People. Shawnc 10:39, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how to do it, but I think "List of billionaires by nationality" should be removed from the L section and put in the short list of links at the top instead. Pointysticks 13:54, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WHY CAN'T I ADD ROSS PEROT?

Currency[edit]

What's with the focus on USD/EU/UKP? Either stick to one currency (I'd say USD as it *is* the most significant worldwide) or the list means nothing much. And USD/EU/UKP aren't that comparable to each other, especially since a UK pound is almost 2 USD. If that is the case, then a currency at around 1/2 USD should also be in there, making the list even more...worthless. Shrumster 06:16, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

related wealth categories[edit]

Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2018_January_31#Category:Millionaires reflects a consensus that having over 1 million dollars would be to cluttered and that it's not notable enough anymore.

The jump to billionaires is a pretty big one though.

Two intermediate terms exist which are worth noting:

"decamillionaire" would be someone with at least 10 million. That MIGHT be worth noting but I'm not 100% sure there. Even if it is now, eventually it might not be due to inflation.

  • not to be confused with "decimillionaire" which would be someone with only 100k, "deca" is 10x while "deci" is 1/10

"hectomillionaire" would refer to someone with at least 100 million which seems like the best new category to use. WakandaQT (talk) 06:46, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
