Puchavičy, Minsk VoblastPukhavichy, Minsk Voblast – no existing letter č in English. --Maximiljan (talk) 12:03, 1 January 2021 (UTC) Relisting. —Nnadigoodluck 21:21, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment According to WP:BELARUSIANNAMES and BGN/PCGN romanization of Belarusian, Puchavičy is incorrect. Or am I missing something? 162.208.168.92 (talk) 07:23, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
here this is what i was basing that on Instruction on transliteration of Belarusian geographical names with letters of Latin script—blindlynx (talk) 17:48, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There was a discussion last year at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Cyrillic), and there was no consensus to change to this standard. So as of right now, Wikipedia uses BGN/PGCN. Support. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 19:18, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong support: According to the BGN/PCGN (the standard we use), Пухавічы is transliterated as "Pukhavich’i"; the Instruction is (so far) irrelevant. I also note that that "Pukhavichy, Minsk Voblast" was the original title, and it was moved without discussion in February 2019. So it should have been reverted as such; we shouldn't be having to request going back to the previous, stable, title at all. Xyl 54 (talk) 08:41, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
