On line 13 (width: 330px;), the width should be changed from 330 px to 355 px. This prevents the (show changes) link from obstructing the "close" button. This issue was previously mentioned at MediaWiki talk:Gadget-topalert#Problem with display. APerson (talk!) 23:38, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please add z-index: 999; to #mw-echo-sliding-alert, this stops the alert from getting stuck behind the searchbar (and therefor being unusable) on the new vector skin. Terra ^(talk) 13:50, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Xaosflux: When I wrote that, I didn't test it on other skins, but I've now tested it on other skins (old vector, monobook, and timeless) and it seems the change doesn't affect anything. --Terra ^(talk) 03:03, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
