Could you please provide an image which clearly shows the quick (perhaps with a brightly colored outline)? I am not that well versed in cat anatomy and I really don't want to hurt my cat when trimming its nails. --Ar-Pharazôn (talk) 13:25, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's the pink portion within the clear claw. If your cat has black nails, it's a lot harder to see, but if you only clip 1–2 mm off the tip, you should always be safe. howcheng {chat} 15:59, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
