Summary

Description U.S. Ambassador Huebner in Samoa with leaders of the Samoa Fa’afafine Association. Established in 2006, the Association addresses issues faced by gender identity and sexual orientation minorities in Samoa. Fa’afafine occupy a respected place in Samoan culture and society, as evidenced by the fact that Prime Minister Tuila’epa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi serves as the Association’s outside patron.
