View westward, towards Bristol, South Wales, Gloucester etc.; ex-GW Paddington - Reading - Swindon and the West main lines. Dean outside-frame 'Aberdare' 2-6-0 No. 2636 (built 6/01, withdrawn 7/46 - three months after this photograph) is on the Up Through line with a Class H freight, no doubt from South Wales. This is how Swindon station was until rebuilt in the 1970s. Nederlands: Swindon Station, waar een oude 'Aberdare' klasse 2-6-0 voorbij komt.
kijkend in westelijkerichting, richting Bristol, Zuid-Wales, Gloucester enz .; ex-GW Paddington - Reading - Swindon en de West-hoofdlijnen. Dean buitenframe 'Aberdare' 2-6-0 nr. 2636 (gebouwd 6/01, buitendienst gesteld 7/46 - drie maanden na deze foto) bevindt zich op de Up Through-lijn met een klasse H-vracht, ongetwijfeld uit Zuid-Wales. Dit is hoe het station van Swindon was totdat het in de jaren zeventig werd herbouwd. |
