Français : Guerre franco-prussienne, 1870-1871 - Lausanne, chapelle des Terreaux. Internés français blessés de l'armée de Bourbaki. A gauche, tenant son haut-de-forme à la main, le pasteur Bonnard, de l’Église réformée vaudoise. A sa gauche, avec un tablier blanc à croix rouge, Mme Élise Panchaud, première directrice de l’École d’infirmières La Source à Lausanne ; sur la gauche de celle-ci, le docteur Charles Marcel, médecin à Lausanne, volontaire au service de la section vaudoise de la Croix-Rouge suisse. Les autres personnages ne sont pas identifiés.
